Health and safety on construction sites
Construction sites are where we started. We provide the safety technician and the safety coordinator, prepare the safety and health plan (SAY) and file (FAY), train crews in the field and check scaffolding, machinery and guards before a mistake happens.
The hazards we see most often
- Falls from height: scaffolding without full guardrails, openings, roofs
- Construction machinery and lifting equipment, with operators who do not always hold a licence
- Excavations and slopes, live cables, falling objects
- Several crews working at the same time without coordination

Questions we are asked
Can the safety coordinator also be the safety technician?
Yes, the coordinator can also be given the safety technician duties. Since 1 January 2026, however, the coordinator's time is not offset against the safety technician's time; it is calculated separately and the coordinator's minimum time is written explicitly in their contract (Article 6 of P.D. 305/1996, as amended by Law 5239/2025).
What applies to construction machinery operators without a licence?
The Labour Code expressly provides sanctions for an employer who assigns work to persons without the required licence (Article 572(6A) of P.D. 62/2025, added by Law 5297/2026). We check licences during our visits.
